Chippendale studio opens its doors

October 25, 2020

Virtual and hybrid events specialists, AV24/7 this week opened the doors of its newest studio in Sydney, marking another milestone in the evolution in the company’s response to more demand for digital events.

Located on the edge of Sydney’s CBD in the hip neighbourhood of Chippendale, the newest studio will accommodate the growing demand for virtual events with high production values.

This is a major new investment for the company and strengthens its position as a premium provider of end-to-end technical, broadcast and online event services.

AV24/7 Co-Owner and General Manager, Libbie Ray said opening of the new premises had set the company up to double its studio capacity in Sydney and to provide an additional location to corporate, government and association clients who were switching to bigger and more frequent virtual and hybrid events.

In September alone, AV24/7 is running 30 events and with a solid pipeline of bookings for October.

“We’re really pleased to be able to welcome a range of clients in our opening week at the purpose-built new studio in Chippendale including Just Better Care, social enterprise Thankyou., Indesign, MKTG and the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia,” Ms Ray said.

“It’s a privilege to showcase our new studio to the exhibition and event industry peak body, the EEAA for its timely Update from Suppliers and for promoting discussion about the current market situation. It’s important that we don’t stand still and that we adapt to what clients are asking for.” She said.

The new studio is at 71 Balfour St. Chippendale, one of Sydney’s newest commercial and residential hubs near Broadway and Central Station. It has 5 unique spaces including 2 studios, break-out room, control room, office and reception. The set-up includes the latest broadcast quality technical equipment, sound-proofed studios which can be set up for live and recorded studio sessions. The new studio suite can be fully customised. Among its inclusions are large high definition LED backdrop, controlled lighting and furniture and styling options. In addition, the break-out room can be used for small events to complement the studio activities.

Since the shut-down of the live events industry due to COVID-19 in March this year, AV24/7 has been developing more services and is transitioning the company for the new operating environment and economic conditions.

“We’re now set up to deliver our traditional services for face-to-face events and we have also invested in our services for the growing demand for virtual and hybrid events.” Ms Ray said.
