AV 24/7 launches Connected Event Group

October 29, 2020

Events industry staging and AV specialists, AV 24/7 has taken a giant leap into the future with the formation of a new group of companies to service the changing needs of the events industry.

Co-owners of AV 24/7, Libbie Ray and Juston Prisuda were nimble in tackling the challenges of 2020 by investing in their capability to host and support all kinds of events – face-to-face, virtual and hybrid.

The company has created four separate brands under the Connected Event Group. It has launched a new look, new websites, new services and moved into new premises in Chippendale, Sydney.

Co-Owner and General Manager, Libbie Ray said as business owners she and Juston Prisuda used the unprecedented “disruption” as a reason to evolve and to create something new and exciting - something right for a world that has been turned on its head.

“As soon as the events industry was shut down in March, we challenged ourselves to think differently about what our clients needed most and in their times of greatest need.

“We did not stop and wait for the world to go back to “normal”. With our talented team we evolved, we innovated, we embraced “disruption” and turned it into an opportunity.

“With 20 years’ experience from running AV 24/7 in the face-to-face events world – and now with a deep understanding of virtual and hybrid challenges - we have brought all our expertise, people and services together in Connected Event Group.” Ms Libbie Ray said.

The new Connected Event Group comprises:

  • AV 24/7 – for traditional AV services and staging strategy and delivery
  • Digital Events – for hybrid and virtual services and customised strategy and content
  • Connected Studios – 3 purpose-built studios in Sydney and Melbourne for recording and online broadcast
  • Virtual Event Box – on location delivery of branded boxes and experiences

“From strategy to delivery, we have the event conception and design expertise to know what works to ignite human connection, engagement and interaction. And that’s what our clients want.”

Juston Prisuda, who is responsible for all production and delivery said Covid had helped to accelerate innovation and show that virtual and hybrid events could deliver outcomes that exceeded expectations helping clients to grow and extend their reach.

“The new reality is that event organisers are now more open to change and I’m pleased we have been able to step-up and invest in driving innovation in event design and delivery.” Juston said.

Connected Event Group has been launched in the market this week with the roll-out targeting the events industry, clients, partners and stakeholders.

“Our staff are hugely invested in supporting the company and helping to position it to thrive in the future – and I’d like to say a big thank you to them for helping us get into a position where we feel confident about the future – because we are confident about our capability.

“We were able to get out of the blocks very early and develop innovative solutions for our clients – since March 2020 we have delivered 150 events and we are very confident that our products and services are fit-for-purpose,” she said.

“Juston and I are very excited about our future – and confident in our capacity to deliver all types of events through all the services of Connected Event Group.

“Our new look is fresh and makes a big statement that at the core of what we do is to “connect” people – however, this is not only a marketing rebrand it is a major investment in all parts of our business.
